Waimarama Community Gardens

Description

A large operational community garden is well established just off Brook St - a good 45 mins

walk from the CBD.  We grow all sorts of things and there are individual plots too.

You are free to wander around and enjoy the country surroundings and plants,

have a picnic, or come to the volunteer mornings every Wednesday 9.30 - 12.30pm.

You will find us next door to the Riding for Disabled property just over the Brook river.

We have a kiosk where you can often buy seedlings and other plants, however payment

is made via internet banking.
