Welcome to the Nelson School of Music

 Nelson School of Music offers a wide range of music education for all ages and abilities and provides wonderful opportunities to perform. Students can sign up for one on one tuition or community music courses. Free Ministry of Education music classes are available for primary and intermediate school aged children and budding performers can also take advantage of one of our orchestral groups.
 
The main School buildings are currently closed for redevelopment and earthquake strengthening, but the School is still operating a full range of programmes and there’s lots happening in our music community. The School is scheduled to re-open in early 2018.
