We aim to help students “Whaia te Aratika” by connecting them, developing creativity, helping them be happy, and focusing on learning.

Nelson Intermediate represents a rich cultural and social mix, with 20% Maori, 4% Asian and 2% Pasifika in 2010. The school embraces and celebrates this diversity which represents modern New Zealand in a caring and co-operative setting.

I am genuine in the belief that Nelson Intermediate School is a quality school catering for the needs of modern pre adolescent students. Our team is extremely proud of the learning programmes, extra curricula activities, holistic approach and pastoral care afforded.
