Description
The Broadgreen House was built in the mid 1850s for one of Nelson’s early settlers and is a fine example of a Colonial Cob House. All eleven rooms have been faithfully and elegantly furnished to represent a lived in family home of the Colonial Victorian Period.
We welcome all visitors and offer group visits by appointment. We have exhibitions in our visitor complex and the house is decorated to match the seasons. The Broadgreen Centre also offers a comfortable conference space.
Other heritage attractions in Nelson are The Nelson Provincial Museum, Isel House, Suter Art Gallery, WOW Museum, and The Founder’s Heritage Park.
